After a run this morning, the weather warmed up, so i decided to take the opportunity to get out for a ride as well. Not sure why but i didn't bring my camera. I had my phone but it isn't as good as an actual camera. I've been riding long enough now that i should know to always bring my camera.
Today i happened upon a Bald Eagle sitting so close to us, that i'm sure he could see my eyes dilate from the excitement. I did happen to get some decent photos of the Eagle which wasn't too bad. After sitting for a while to watch and enjoy, i continued on to Okanagan Falls where i took Mclean Creek Rd and saw for the first time, Californian Big Horn Sheep. These guys were further away and would have been great to have had a camera.

Humming Birds
Once again, i had some time to try and get some Humming bird photos. Today they were in particularly comfortable mood and kept coming back for more. I was able to get a few good shots of the two birds that were feeding from our feeder. There is an orange one that i have seen feeding from our feeder before but i haven't had the luck of capturing him on film.

Finch
Hummingbird
This Hummingbird photo was taken while cooking on the barbecue. A little closer to the bird. This photo isn't absolutely perfect with the bird a little blurry but still it is a better photo then my other ones taken previously. I am gradually getting the photo i want. I just have to keep on practicing.

Finch
These photos were the best of a handful without a tripod. I should have used the tripod to be able to use a longer shutter speed as the tree was creating a fair amount of shade on the Finch Feeder.

Humming Birds
Today i was luckily able to capture this little hummingbird feeding from my feeder. Hummingbirds are cool little birds that always make me happy when i hear them buzz by. These were taken from my front deck. I have two hummingbirds that i know of that come by for a feed. Hopefully i will be seeing more of them.

And also this woodpecker taking on my Bird Feeder Tree. At the moment i am trying to figure out the species of this Woodpecker. If you know the species, please let me know as it will save me time in research.

Family of Four (Deer)
Living where i Live, i have a whole assortment of wild life that take up residence near my house. In particular there is a family of Four Deer that i often see hanging around. These photos were snapped from my Living Room using a 55mm Lens. I'm thinking of adding a 300mm lens to my set to get some nicer wildlife shots.

North American Robin
We have many of these birds hanging around our place in Canada at the moment. It is now early spring (Mid-April) and they have migrated from the south to do there breeding. The first image you see is taken from a website and the second image, the one with the grass, is a photo i took from a bedroom window.
Taken from Wikipedia -"The American Robin is active mostly during the day and assembles in large flocks at night. Its diet consists of invertebrates (such as beetle grubs and caterpillars), fruits and berries. It is one of the earliest bird species to lay eggs, beginning to breed shortly after returning to its summer range from its winter range. Its nest consists of long coarse grass, twigs, paper, and feathers, and is smeared with mud and often cushioned with grass or other soft materials. It is among the first birds to sing at dawn, and its song consists of several discrete units that are repeated."
