Movie Review : To Catch A Thief. (1955)
Just for a bit of fun, i decided to write my first movie review ever. Now i can check it off my list of things to do before i die lol. For it, i chose one of my favorite movies.
To Catch a Thief is a romantic thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. The Film is set on the French Riviera. The movie is about a retired jewel thief John Robie (the Cat) played by Grant who is suspected of returning to his old habits. Robie goes in search of the copy cat burgler to prove his innocence.
Light and entertaining, Hitchcock takes you on a thrilling romantic adventure with John Robie being chased around the Riviera, Robie on the chase of the Copy Cat Burgler and then also the Loving romance between Grant and Kelly. Interspersed throughout the film are touches of humor that just add to the film. The suspense in this film isn’t as strong as some of Hitchcock’s other films such as Rear Window but still creates enough suspense to keep you interested all the way through the film.
Rating : 8.5/10
